Weekend at Johnson’s

Spent this Labor day weekend at Rich’s house.  Was able to help him out with this chicken coop build and learn come carpentry!

Looks pretty good the hens have a lot of ladders to play on.  We worked on the boxes for the chickens to lay eggs in.  Changed the floor so the bedding is easier to clean and made it easier to fill up the feeder without taking it out. Don’t have any coop experience but it seems like a good design and up high for the snow

Chickens on the front porch and one using the ladder.  14 of them in total.  First time with chickens, they seem like a good thing to have around that house.  Get rid of all the ticks in the yard and get some eggs to boot.

Also got to drive around the trails on quad which I find really fun.  I would really like to buy on if I get a truck.  Nothing fast or crazy but some Sunday trail riding would be cool.
