It’s that time of year again!

Fall is on the way and in no time it’s going to be Halloween! When I wake up in the morning it’s still dark out and and the morning air is chilly. The leaves have started falling to, I noticed a few on the lawn today.

I was proactive today and placed my order for wood pellets for the coming season. I still have about a quarter of a ton left from last season so I need to kick it up a bit this year so I don’t have leftovers again.

I was super lazy last year and didn’t clean the stove at the end of the season. Going to take a day and pull it all apart, lube up the blowers and auger and paint the firebox with stove paint. I did it once a few years ago and it really helps how it runs. Last time I reused some gaskets because it was a pita to order new ones… This time I will actually order them ahead of time. I should also replace the seal on the front door. I actually have that in stock but was intimidated by the process so I never did it.

Also need to get up on the roof and make sure the gutters are clean. I used to have people do it for me but they tend to do more damage to the roof then good.

Anyway, just wanted to check in.
